The Lake Hotel Tagaytay
So we were looking forward to the opening of this particular hotel, one that we saw being built over the span of several months. We were quite delighted when we found out it is now operational and very aptly named The Lake Hotel. The 3-storey Mediterranean-inspired resort hotel was sprawling, quite unlike the boutique type hotels usually built in an area where real estate is premium. A (very) big plus is that The Lake Hotel is situated on the ridge overlooking Taal Lake. Can you imagine waking up to that marvelous sight?Inside, the hotel lived up to the expectations we had from viewing its construction every time we passed it by. All signs showed then, as now, that this hotel is far from ordinary. Rather than have the lobby on one plane as is common to hotels, The Lake Hotel maximizes the natural slope of the land with an expansive flight of steps going down to the reception area. You hear the melodic tune of waters going down a fountain that run alongside these stairs.
